Company Background

Axon develops and markets desktop report production software for professional business users. The company was founded in 1985 by former management consultants and graphic artists in response to the growing need at consulting firms for an effective, time-saving tool to produce visually-oriented client reports and presentations.

In 1986, Axon released its first software product, ViP(TM), which enabled consulting and corporate customers to begin automating the manual process of drawing charts and exhibits. Axon's flagship product, Solo(TM), was introduced to the market in 1992. Solo is a full-featured product designed specifically for the unique demands of consulting work.

Axon's consulting experience helps differentiate Solo from mass-market presentation graphics software. Solo not only streamlines the client reporting process but provides two significant competitive advantages -- helping firms to improve the quality of client communications and liberating consultants from home office production services.

Solo is in daily use at several of the world's leading consulting firms. At one firm for example, several thousand consultants, graphic artists and assistants work together using Solo to create client reports and presentations.

Axon has future plans to expand Solo's capabilities in areas such as document handling, client connectivity, multi-user access and cross-platform support; enhancements driven by close contact with consulting customers.

Axon markets Solo directly to management consulting firms worldwide. The company is privately-held and headquartered in Darien, Connecticut. For more information, contact Susan Rhame at (203) 662-8713 or e-mail .
